Area Police
Around 50 automobiles have been covered with what appears to be blood from a person in the German town of Hanau close to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.
Automobiles, building surfaces and postboxes were vandalized, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they announced in a release.
Officers state they were alerted during the night on Wednesday night, when a individual discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy area of Hanau had been marked with a reddish substance.
The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a banned symbol, they added.
Law enforcement then discovered numerous other smeared cars and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.
These symbols are illegal in Germany under laws banning the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.
Law enforcement state early analysis suggest the liquid was most likely blood from a person.
"Currently there is no indication as to its source; investigators are presently not cognizant of any physical harm in association with the incident," they commented.
Municipal representatives stated they were trying "to solve the mystery" and have asked to the public for tips.
A senior political figure commented the incident left him speechless and had to be addressed promptly.
"This incident hits the center of Hanau and reopens the wounds of the far-right terrorist attack in 2020," he wrote on a platform, referring to the killing of nine individuals by a assailant aiming at individuals of immigrant origin in five years prior.
